A11 Concrete Reconstruction and Surface Repairs:

National Highways (NH) and their contractors have informed us that Phase 1 of the A11 repairs ─ Tuttles Lane to Thickthorn ─ will be completed by February 18 2022. The repairs will extend the life of this section of the road by 7-10 years.

Phase 2 ─ Tuttles Lane to Spooner Row ─ will start shortly after Easter with an end date estimated to be September 2023. This second phase will involve reconstructing completely the concrete and surfacing with tarmac as this part of the road is in poor condition and its life cannot be extended by patching.

Reconstructing the road will mean a contraflow system will be in operation throughout the period, with an occasional need for overnight or weekend closures at key points during the scheme.

More details can be found on their website at www.nationalhighways.co.uk/A11concrete, or you can email them (info@nationalhighways.co.uk) with any queries. Their website will be updated with full details of all closures on the A11 and the junctions affected by Phase 2 shortly. It will also be updated regularly with any alterations to the works programme before they occur.
