Could you volunteer an hour a month for you parish?

Cringleford Parish Council support the setting up of a Community Speed watch in the parish, but we need volunteers.

What is Community Speed Watch? Put simply, speed monitoring is carried out by trained volunteers from the community, with follow-up work on education and enforcement by Norfolk Safety Camera Partnership, Norfolk Police and your Local Authority.

Initially, letters are sent to registered keepers of offending vehicles asking for their assistance in keeping speeds down in your community, with persistent offenders targeted for police enforcement.

As the Engagement officer for South Norfolk Jim Squires has responsibility to support and promote Community Speed Watch, and hopes that there are some volunteers who could spare an hour a month to help promote road safety within our parish.

If you require any more information or would like to volunteer please contact PC Jim Squires on 01953 423773, squiresjr@norfolk.pnn.police.uk or parish clerk Sonya Blythe, clerk@cringlefordpc.org.uk
