As we are all aware, the parish is currently growing in size, with three new developments being built over the next few years. As part of these developments, the council will be obtaining land, which it intends to use for the purpose of building a sports hall, adjacent to the already agreed adult football pitches at St Giles Park.

The council requires the assistance of a consultant/professional to undertake a sports need analysis for the area, to ensure that the hall is built to the correct specification, and that the demand of the wider community is met sufficiently. For background on the project up this point, please click the links for the following documents:

  • Recreational Strategy (undertaken and approved by the council in 2019/20, which encompasses all recreational/sporting objectives of the council)
  • Working project document (detailing the current stage that the Council has reached in regards to the recreational strategy, focusing in particular on the sports hall)

Click here to view the terms of references for this undertaking, detailing what the council would like to obtain from applicants in order to make an informed decision on the future of the proposed sports hall. If this is a project that you think would suit your business, the council would be very much interested in hearing from you further to discuss the project.
