We have been notified by the landowners that work will begin shortly on the woods at the bottom of Gurney Lane. This is part of the management plan for the land and will involve felling most of the mature conifer trees and removing dead and damaged trees. This will encourage new growth of broadleaved species and enable more sustainable growth of the existing species.
The work will take place over about a three-week period starting this week. There will be some HGV traffic along Gurney Lane for access. For your safety, please ensure you keep clear of the workmen and comply with any contractor’s notices in place.
